The history of Phudmuri Presbyterian Church dates back prior to 1902. The church formally established its roots as a full-fledged entity in 1929. Over the decades, it celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 1979, inaugurated the present building on May 13, 2001, and celebrated its Platinum Jubilee in 2004. Through its expansive growth, it has also birthed several daughter churches including Umrynjah, Mawroh, Kynton Massar, and Umshing Mawkynroh.
Today, as of 2025, our spiritual family comprises 1,906 households and 6,610 members, overseen by 4 Pastors, 23 Elders, and 10 Committee members. We actively manage multiple mission projects and the Phudmuri Presbyterian Higher Secondary School.
Established in 1937, we currently nurture 434 active children (193 boys, 181 girls). The ministry operates a Free Studentship Scheme Project specifically designed to support students from underprivileged families.
Since its inception in 1940 with 28 members, the youth service has expanded to 387 active members. It oversees two mission fields and operates a Free Medical Clinic for underprivileged families in Mawlai.
Founded in 1939 with only 10 members, the service has grown to include 3,554 active women. They manage a dedicated counselling centre on the church premises staffed by a full-time counsellor.
